Setting the Holiday Table

As much as we adore the richness and grandeur of Mottahedeh's Duke of Gloucester pattern, we really wanted to lighten up this year. In the past it's been fun to play up the rich reds and golds, but we're going to have a warm Christmas, so we must plan accordingly! Luckily we found these beautiful green stemmed glasses that will mix well with our Lismore hock wines. These lovelies were actually used in The Pine Forest Inn in Summerville, owned by Winjoy Salisbury, a history very much worth checking out at http://www.visitsummerville.com/index.asp… Additionally, adding these fresh green and gold trimmed Lenox oversized plates, acting as chargers, gives the whole look a new freshness. Mix fine antique white linens and your flatware and you've got a fresh new take on your old china. Look around your house...and your friend's house. You'll be surprised at what you can find to change things up!
